I've tried de-installing acrylic but when running wireshark in admin mode I can still see some acrylic NDIS drivers so their de-install script appears to be at least partially broken - I've raised the issue with them but don't know whether this is a contributory factor. The only other factor I've considered is that I also have "acrylic WiFi professional" installed - this used Sharp Pcap and installs some additional drivers. When installing npcap Ive tried both with and without winpcap compatibility mode and with and without raw 802.11n captureīut always leave the check box to restrict npcap to administrators only unchecked. I deinstalled npcap - rebooted and then installed the latest npcap (1.5) instead of the one that came with wireshark. I de-installed wireshark and both winpcap and npcap then rebooted and re-installed the latest wireshark with npcap alone. I asked for help on the wireshark forum but when their suggestions failed they suggested I post the problem here. Recently wireshark has started displaying only the usbcap interfaces in user mode although I discovered that running as administrator all the other interfaces appear.
I've been successfully running wireshark on windows 10 with both winpcap and npcap installed for some time.
